The Language of Trauma-Informed Support

We work in a field surrounded by those who have experienced trauma. The obvious of course are the families you support every day, but what about your staff? Were they also in the NICU? Did they lose a baby? We will hear from Mary Coughlin as we learn to think about trauma-informed language beyond one-on-one peer mentoring and expand our utilization of these principles throughout every aspect of our work from social media posts, to the person who answers your organization emails, to your marketing materials. Knowing how to utilize trauma-informed language in your support work and education is essential to ensuring your families, your staff, and your community feels supported and empowered.
