I know I can count on NPN to provide a speaker who is reliable, fully prepared and able to connect with the audience.  These speakers graciously share their personal stories to raise awareness of the needs of preterm infants and their families, and the NPN speaker’s bureau has been a tremendous resource.  The process to request and line up a speaker is easy, and our recent speaker captivated the audience; she was clear, concise, informative, and spoke from the heart.  I couldn’t ask for a better messenger to motivate our teams to work even harder in support of preterm infants and their families.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I work with NPN Speakers Bureau?

Our experts take the guesswork out of hiring the right speaker. We know the top speakers and maintain a thorough database of audience reviews, which help guide our suggestions. Additionally, we are not contractually obligated to any speaker, so our recommendations are made solely with your meeting success and individual needs in mind.

How can I preview a speaker?

You may preview speakers anytime on our website by visiting the directory

Are all of the speakers that you work with listed here on your site?

No. Although we are continually adding speakers to our website, we have an additional database of professional speakers on hand. If you would like information on a speaker, but do not see him/her on our website, feel free to contact us. Chances are, we have worked with that speaker in the past.

Will I negotiate a better fee if I go directly to a speaker rather than through the bureau?

No. The majority of speakers we work with maintain a high-degree of fee integrity, which means they charge the same fee to everyone who books them.

How much do speakers charge?

Speakers’ fees can widely vary depending on presentation style and speech length. In addition to the fee, you can expect to pay for the full coach or first-class airfare, ground transportation, hotel accommodations, meals, incidentals such as parking and tips, and audio-visual requirements.

How can I save money when booking a speaker?

Consider booking speakers who live close to your meeting site to keep travel costs low. Or, ask your NPN representative to negotiate an inclusive fee (fee plus expenses) with your speaker before going to contract. If you have multiple meetings where a single speaker would be appropriate, ask your NPN representative to negotiate a multiple bookings fee with the speaker.

Do I have to arrange travel for the speaker?

No. Typically, NPN works with speakers to arrange their own travel. Our customers direct-bill the speaker’s hotel room and sometimes, depending on the speaker, arrange for car service.

Will the speaker I choose play golf with attendees, sign autographs, etc.?

This varies by speaker. Please let your NPN representative know about any and all special requests of the speaker before going to contract. Typically, speakers are very accommodating, and we will be happy to negotiate these requests for you.

Can I video or audio record my speaker?

Speakers’ policies regarding their intellectual property vary. Some speakers will allow recording for internal use only, others will allow wider distribution for a one-time fee or require a percentage of sales. This is one of the details that we will help you negotiate prior to contracting a speaker.
