#GivingTuesdayNow

On May 5, 2020, the NICU Parent Network is participating in #GivingTuesdayNow. The recent pandemic has touched every aspect of humanity; our members are no exception at a time when NICU families need their support more than ever. Our members have refused to let barriers and restrictions stop them from doing their important work. In a few short weeks, they have enhanced existing programs or developed new ones to provide virtual support.

Support

Lily's Hope Foundation

Lily’s Hope Foundation answers the emergency needs of families with premature babies.  Lily’s Hope accomplishes this by providing resources, aid, and hope to families with premature babies through their Packages of Hope program.

The Tiny Miracles Foundation (TTMF)

A central pillar of TTMF is their Financial Assistance Program which provides emergency funding for critical necessities for preemie families. Due to COVID-19, they are receiving increases in requests for assistance for such basic needs as rent, food, and utilities.

The Gift of Life

The Gift of Life, more than ever, is in need of donations to continue sending care packages to families in the NICU.

Speaking for Moms & Babies, Inc. via Maria's Hope

Parent-based volunteers who provide emotional support/mentoring to parents with babies in the NICU Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center. They need funding to move to virtual support and continue services during this pandemic and beyond.

Family Support Network of Central Carolina

Project NICU

Dedicated to supporting families with children in the NICU & the medical professionals who care for them. During the COVID-19 impact, they’re focused on Virtual support groups, their Mentor program, and NICU parent & Medical Team care packages.

Graham's Foundation

Now, more than ever, they want preemie parents to know they’re not alone. They ask for your support so they can continue to offer their complimentary programs to those in need.

Will’s Way Foundation

Every day, Will’s Way provides support grants to underserved families with a child in the NICU. During this challenging time, they have also seen an increase in requests for emergency and essential needs for families who are more greatly impacted.

Silvie Bells

Silvie Bells provides Owlet Home Pulse-Oxygen monitors to NICU babies. Since the Covid-19 outbreak, their incoming applications for these monitors have more than tripled. They need your help to continue donating Owlets to medically fragile NICU babies.

The Colette Louise Tisdahl Foundation

They have expanded their financial assistance grants to help families affected by Covid 19. Their qualifications now include all families with a pregnancy and/or child under the age of one.

Hand to Hold

In response to COVID-19, Hand to Hold has adjusted support services to assist NICU families virtually through online support groups, podcast channels, their peer support network, and private Facebook groups. Now more than ever, NICU families need our help.

Packages for Preemies

They had to cancel their only fundraiser for the year, which provides 95% of their operating budget for the year. Without it, they may not be able to support any families who need it now more than ever.

National Perinatal Association

NPA is an interdisciplinary organization of professionals, parents, and advocates who work together to educate, advocate and integrate all voices with equality and respect to support pregnant persons, babies and families, and the professionals who care for them. NPA works with healthcare, government and other nonprofit organizations to bring all stakeholders to the table to create positive change and promote optimal perinatal care in the United States.

Saul's Light Foundation

Saul Light’s mission is to help New Orleans families navigate the NICU journey and support them through the trauma of infant loss. This support is especially essential now because the COVID-19 pandemic has caused a surge in families requesting assistance.
