Panel of Peers: Models of Peer Support

Aug. 5 | 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm | Location: Stage

This panel will examine the various ways NICU Parent Support Organizations can and do provide peer to peer support services to NICU families. We will discuss a coaching-based approach, virtual support, and bedside one-on-one support. We will also cover potentially better practices for building and sustaining a program and training volunteers.

Sahra Cahoon (she/her/hers)

Founder & Executive Director, Love for Lily

Life coach, wife, and mama to three girls. Kindness, empathy, compassion, and hope, this is humanity. My hope is that we change the conversation around grief. Drop the shame and guilt of a NICU journey. Empower, support, and connect mamas and daddies as they walk through the NICU.

Kristen Ezzo, LMFT (she/her)

The Tiny Miracles Foundation is a CT-based, nonprofit charity, developed by parents of premature babies. We are dedicated to helping families of premature babies in the NICU and when they transition home.
